I don’t class myself as much of a photographer, unless I’m rather drunk and it’s a night out with friends when suddenly I’m snap happy, but most of those photo’s turn out blurry anyway, so I’ve never got involved with the Weekly Photo Challenge before. But, when I saw the theme this week was ‘Abandoned’ I felt I could finally take part, even if I am sharing photographs taken by the other half, but hey, what’s mine is his and vice versa right? Well actually, my saying is “what’s his is mine, and what’s mine is mine” I am an only child after all!
Anyhoo, my half loves taking photos of abandoned things, so I actually have plenty of images to choose from for this theme, particularly abandoned vehicles. On this occasion I decided that I would share a few photographs which were taken on our recent holiday to California, more specifically taken at Bodie Ghost Town in Bodie State Park.
And just to keep the photographer happy, one with an abandoned car in the landscape…
You have some great photos for this weeks challenge. Bravo.

These photos are very impressive… especially the first image. I love the dramatic sky and the low perspective.

Thank you all for the kind comments 🙂 I’ll be sure to share them with the photographer, aka hubby!

Ooh, I love your dramatic skies! When I was there, I had to correct the exposures because everything was much too bright.

Wonderful photos, wonderful place to visit. So much to see and record, photos or paintings.

When I initially commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox
and now each time a comment is added I get four emails with the same comment.
Is there any way you can remove people from that service?
Appreciate it!

Hi Nick
I have done the same thing with other blogs and have only managed to remove the notifications by luck I think! It is connected to your own account and your own subscriptions…I’ve tried to find this option in my own account so that I could give you a step-by-step guide, but alas I cannot find it so I can’t give you an exact walkthrough. Perhaps the WP FAQ or help section could point you in the right direction?
